Our Charter

It creates, it invents and it proposes. It tickles habits and stings where no one is perfect, especially not us.

Micheline Mireillea year has come a long way. She asked herself 1000 questions, spent hours on the internet and gleaned information where she could.

We now come to a conclusion:Micheline Mireillemust not only set an example but also share and explain its choices through this charter.

CONCERNING COTTON, FORMicheline Mireille, ONLY A GOTS AND OEKO-TEX FABRIC ATTEST AN ECO-RESPONSIBLE FABRIC.

The GOTS label is currently the best label for textiles. It certifies that the culture is organic, that the production is socially responsible and respectful of the environment.

The Oeko-TEX label guarantees the absence of toxic products for the body and the environment.

For printed fabrics, currently we can not do better than a fabric that adds these 2 certifications.

WE USE 2 TYPES OF SEWING THREAD:

  • LABEL GOTS CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON

  • RECYCLED POLYESTER(For the longevity of our charlottes / dish covers, we have chosen to use polyester thread, which is more resistant than cotton.

WE PRODUCE FROM RECOVERED FABRIC WHENEVER POSSIBLE. We are building a collection of fabrics from old clothes and recovered sheets. The most harmful materials for the environment will be intended for items that do not go into the machine.

Fabrics intended to be in contact with food must be certified as suitable for this use. This is why we cannot use recycling for all our projects.

WE WANT TO START BEEKEEPING! We would like to take over the hives that are on the ground at the farm. Trying to produce our own WAX. Then inform us about the process to purify it.

ACCORDING TO THE LAW, ONLY CERTIFIED PH EUR GRADE WAX CAN BE USED IN THE MAKING OF ARTICLES THAT WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH FOOD.

For the time being, it is unfortunately impossible for us to know the origin of the wax that we use. The laboratories take the batches according to arrivals and there is no traceability, or at least they do not communicate it.

HO SUNFLOWER OIL IS ORGANIC AND SWISS

THE PINE RESIN IS FROM THE PINE FORESTS OF THE FRENCH LANDES. THESE FORESTS HAVE THE ECOCERT LABEL and take advantage of a new method of harvesting resin that is more efficient, more respectful of people and the environment.

WE USE 2 DIFFERENT FABRICS FOR OUR CHARLOTTES / PLAT COVER:

  • RECOVERED FABRIC(outside)

  • FOOD PUL FABRIC IN RECYCLED POLYESTER, oeko-TEX 100 certified and compliant to be in contact with food (inside).

THE ELASTIC IS GOTS AND OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED.

FOR OUR FUTURE PROJECTS:

Micheline MireilleLOOK FOR GOOD DEALS to get HEMP fabric which seems to us to be the least polluting culture. Flax is also very interesting since all parts of the plant are reused in this local culture.

UNCOMPROMISING: WE SAY NO to VELCRO. After research, we noticed that with each wash, the Velcro releases polluting nanoparticles into the laundry water.

WE SAY NO to articles coming from too far and without traceability. We would love to use magnets for our lunch bags, click clacks for our pouches but we haven't found any yet other than in China.
